Westpak, Inc.

As a Packaging Test Engineer, I work with many medical device companies and simulate the hazards and damages that a package will see in transit or storage environment. I generate detailed and thorough reports that design engineers then use to optimize and validate their package systems. 

  • Deliver $80,000 worth of valuable package testing feedback monthly

  • Implemented sustainable practices to reduce material cost and plastic waste

  • Culture Committee member promoting a positive work culture

  • Personally handled thousands of medical devices, tech, and food and beverage packages

  • Collaborate with medical device, tech, and food and beverage companies to optimize packaging design

University of San Diego

At the University of San Diego, my focus is on using engineering and design to implement sustainability and improve global health.

  • Coordinate international efforts between the University of San Diego and CETYS University in Mexico to work with locals in Tijuana to reclaim plastic waste from the Tijuana River and convert them into recycled, composite plastics.

B.S. Packaging Engineering

San Jose State University

At San Jose State University I earned my Packaging Engineering degree with proficiencies in packaging design using Solidworks and ArtiosCAD, medical device packaging, and project management. I also was elected as the Treasurer of the Packaging Club where I introduced new streams of fundraising and hosted monthly events.

  • Led group projects to create products and packages using Solidworks/Artios

  • Hosted monthly events that introduced students to packaging and increased enrollment

  • Created 30+ designs using both Solidworks and Artios
